Keys made from finest close ringed Alpine Spruce with no joins.
 
Key coverings in larenim. Is a polymer bound mineralic material.  Similar in feel and look to ivory and may be satin or silk gloss. The thickness may be between 1.9mm and 2.4mm.

Key coverings in bone. Single complete covering, or jointed. Very similar to Ivory. Covering thickness 2.0mm.

key coverings in acrylic-glass, commonly used throughout the piano industry and the colour may be white, off-white or creme. 

Key coverings in old ivory (Legally certificated).
 
Black and white keys may be covered in: ebony, African black wood, box wood, plum wood service-berry and cherry wood. All available exotic and bur woods may be used.
